An Easter Rabbit

A very Happy Easter to you all.

I hope that you have all had a lovely day and have been sensible with chocolate!

Following last weeks make of the amigurami rabbitbearmouse, I decided to take advantage of the free gift from Planet Penny and have a go at making one of her bunnies:

I tried to choose spring like colours.

I tried to choose spring like colours.

I have to say that I am not entirely happy with it – I couldn’t get the cheeks to look right so ditched them, tried all sorts of mouths – ditched them too and simply left the nose and eyes. Now I have been back to Penny’s website I can see what I am missing – teeth! I shall be adding these soon.

The one redeeming thing about this rabbit however is her tail!

Easter rabbit back

I used the same technique that is used for the cheeks and nose (which I think is completely genius and something that I will be using again). I just made it bigger. So a huge thank you for your lovely Easter Present, it was very timely and I love it.

As always I am looking forward to heading over to Handmade Harbour where I shall be catching up with lots of lovely crafty people – do come too.

Isnt it frusrating when a project doesnt go the way you want it to straight away. Love the colour you have used and the tail looks fab. Definately update us with a photo when the teeth are in place!
