I promised something other than running…..here it is:
I can honestly say that it is unique. I got the material from a website called spoonflower. It is an amazing site that allows you to make up your own material by uploading your own patterns onto it. I chose this fabric because….well because it is turquoise.
I chose the jersey option (there are many). I did make a few adjustments to the pattern:
I know get me! I enjoyed playing with my new machine (borrowed) using a stretch stitch that prevents the material from fraying and joins all in one go.
The only thing that I would change is to add some interfacing to the hem to prevent the slight stretch that has occurred. I don’t think that it is that noticeable though.
I am hoping that spring is on its way so that I can wear this soon. 🙂
Its looks so lovely! I’d love to get something done from spoonflower…might have a go!
Thank you.xx
I like the neck line. What tee shirt pattern did you use?
I’ve looked at spoonflower before and there are so many great designs to choose from
I am going sound all cloak and dagger now but the pattern I used was part of a tester program that I hope will be released for proper soon! The material was really good quality though and would recommend it!
This looks lovely. I’ve thought of using spoonflower before but I have no design worth printing. Your turquoise is a fantastic colour.
They do wallpaper too….oh, and I chose the pattern from someone else ad I am not at clever? 😪
That is really professional, jolly well done. And it looks stunning on you 🙂
Thank you.x
Beautiful T shirt, and how amazing is spoonflower!
Totally! I have yet to be disappointed!
Very pretty and I love the turquoise as well. 🙂
😁
How wonderful it must feel to have everything done by and for you! I’m also a turquoise lover and flowers are the perfect summer pattern. Love it! ❤
Thank you so much.x
Great fit and excellent job ! You are a lady of many talents and skills 🙂
I fear mad as I flit from thing to thing! 😜
I keep reading about Spoonflower–it’s all the rage! Your shirt is very attractive–so nicely fitted!
Why thank you.xxx😊
Like the pattern and the fabric you ‘designed’. The T shirt looks very professional 🙂
I’ m afraid I didn’t design the material but chose one someone else did!
Love the turquoise! C’mon spring!
I can’t believe I missed this post in my word press feed! Just come across it on blog lovin.
Looks great. Please share the pattern when you can. I love a longer than average length to my T shirts. The ones in the shops are generally too short. They must be trying to save on fabric!
A strip of stretch iron on interfacing is the key for the hem but you really can’t tell from here.
The bottom of the ‘vee’ looks good.
Thanks for noticing the v I was proud if it considering it was my first attempt at something like this.
that is really nice!!
That’s amazing, love this idea of getting your own pattern

Ooh this looks wonderful. V v impressive. I’ve often considered buying fabric from Spoonflower but am stil v v wary of sewing machines. I hope to get one for my birthday soon though and face my fears properly….
I saw your recent post and I am not sure what you are scared of! I always take it very slowly and you can always unpick!
It looks very professional! Kudos! What do you mean you get to upload your own pattern unto spoonful over to create your fabric?
loving this fabric piece.. looks like star-fishes.. and the fabric looks light to be great for spring/summer
WOW!!! you are talented, that blouse looks fab, you know my mom was a seamstress too but I never got into it, but it is a good talent to have 🙂
